Airbnb Quick Tip:
Go get a quote for short-term rental insurance. Try and find an insurance company that specializes in covering short-term rentals as I’ve noticed that regular companies are not experienced with ensuring the maximum coverage for you. Even if you decide not to use it and stick with AirCover, at least you’ll know what they can offer you!
I recommend Steadily insurance. They offer fire, water, windstorm, hail, and lightning emergencies and can even add on earthquake and flood insurance if that is needed in your area. Steadily will also protect you in theft and damages and even better, they can protect you from loss of income. For example, if a pipe bursts and takes a month’s worth of repairs, Steadily can compensate your loss of income for that month.

Question of the week:
Should I be charging an extra guest fee? In my personal experience, I do not prefer the extra guest fee. We noticed that guests were straight out lying about the number of guests. They would see our property can host 6 guests total but only allowed for 4 so it didn’t make sense for them to pay an extra fee that the property already accommodated. Although having more guests may require more laundry, ultimately, we chose to have better transparency between our guests.
